CIRKUS Putting Finishing Touches On 'Cityslicker'
November 1, 2010Swedish rock band CIRKUS is putting the finishing touches on its sophomore album, "Cityslicker", for an early 2011 release. According to the group, "the idea of a 'Cityslicker' album was born during the last tour in the States that had a personal effect on the whole band. Then the band asked a Spanish artist and a great friend of CIRKUS, Elena Vila, to implement the ideas into artwork which can only be described as amazing."
"Cityslicker" is currently being mixed and mastered by Jeff Northrup, who has previously worked with MONTROSE and XYZ, among others. Also involved in the album's production is Jay Messina (KISS, AEROSMITH, SLASH'S SNAKEPIT).
The follow-up to 2008's "Let The Madness Begin", "Cityslicker" promises to be "a groundbreaking throwback to all the classic old albums. If you grew up on classic rock music and are missing the old days of cranking up the stereo or putting on a headset and rocking out then you definitely should pay attention to this band. This is their defining effort."
Lead vocalist Roux'd and guitar player Snetan created CIRKUS back in 2006 and have always have been the heart, brain, soul and engine of the band.
